"Coolissimo but has glitches"
Pros: Internet radio without a PC, many ways to listen to your music
Cons: Not designed to retreive music directly from a UPnP DLNA NAS
Summary: Elegant, does what it says it will do - which is rare these days, sounds good too but I'm no audiophile.
I initially used my Squeezebox with an 802.11b wireless access point with poor results. When I upgraded to an 11g access point, dropped connections and buffer under-run when streaming from my PC became a thing of the past. It still has some glitches such as occasional slow response (10-15 seconds)to button presses on the infrared remote. The PC server software crashes about 1 out of ten times I start up my PC. My DSL line resets quite frequently which of course interrupts internet radio, but when DSL is up again a minute later the Squeezebox doesn't reconnect automatically. In the same situation My PC (XP home and Firefox) reconnects to the stream. With my old 11B box the wake on Lan feature would get my PC running from standby which is handy. But my new Belkin 11G AP does seem to support wake on LAN which means I either have to leave my PC on all the time or run up and down the stairs a lot.
