"No AM/FM/ Only Wireless G"
Pros: Cool Looks
Sounds Great for SureCons: No AM/FM Terrestial Radio
Summary: Nice looking box and I'm sure it sounds great. But for a portable "boom box" I insist on all in one with terrestial radio included. Also, wireless G will slow down my N environment.

The no radio definitely IS an issue. I understand that you can get almost all stations via the internet. However, a lot of the times the internet stream does not contain the same thing as the regular airwaves stream. A perfect example is sport.s Our local AM station blacks out baseball games over the internet broadcast. To me, it seems like this is a big drawback with the Boom. It just seems like such a simple feature to add.

I get all of my favorite AM stations, on the squeezebox box via internet radio.
This is not a problem at all. In fact I get all of my favorite NYC AM stations plus some old favorites from other cities all crystal clear. -
Then use the hardwire. It has a cat 5 connection port.

You can get virtually any FM/AM station through the free internet radio services available for free on all the Squeezebox products.
This is basically a non-issue.
If your N router has implemented the standards correctly, G should not slow down N at all.
