"Best network player on the planet."

Summary I purchased the SE model. Over the past 30 years the thing that breaks down first are the moving parts of a component. That and the fact that the available ones with the front panel knob are way over priced ($2500 ? come on man ! ). good luck selling those guys. the SE model is excellent. best thing since sliced bread. I already had two duets with controllers. and the comtrollers work just fine with the transporter. The sound from the transporter is better than the duet. So clean, so pure, so natural. If anyone is having second thoughts about the SE model because the transnav knob is omitted, don"t. You ain"t missing nothing. Like i said the first things to go bad are usually the moving parts ( knobs, drive moters, belts, etc...). transporter SE has none of these moving parts. You will not be disapointed with the sound of internet radio or music from your library. My system is built around marantz top of the line preamp and amp. (av8003 mm8003 ). Did not buy the marantz network player. Although it would match appearance wise I beleive the transporter is the better network player. Besides the av8003 has a network player built into it. The transporter is something special. The people that own one know what i mean. those that don"t, will after they hear it. The transporter is by far the best network player available today weather it has the transnav knob on the front of it or not. Either model is excellent. Buy it !
