The Sonos ZonePlayer ZP90 is the non-amplified base station portion of the Sonos Digital Music System. One ZP90 is included with the
Sonos Bundle 250 (BU250), but additional units for expanding the wireless music network into more rooms can be purchased for $350 each. The Sonos ZonePlayer ZP90 includes analog and digital outputs, so it needs to be connected to an AV receiver, boombox, or a powered speaker system--something with an auxiliary input--in order to play music.
While the Sonos products are designed to be multi-room audio systems, users looking for a single room digital audio solution can purchase one ZonePlayer ZP90 and control it from any iPhone or iPod Touch with the free Sonos Controller App.
For more information on the ZonePlayer ZP90, see the full review of the Sonos Digital Music System BU250.
