Canon Vixia HF R10 (Black)

Pros: Internal memory, expandable memory options, manual controls, external audio jack, solid construction/build. Nice picture quality with custom picture settings. 24fps Cinemode option.

Cons: AUDIO! This camera has a 'clicking' noise that can be heard when in 'auto-focus' mode. The camera ships out from the factory with this obvious DEFECT? I'm amazed Canon would ship a product with an obvious defect issue like this... a major FLAW!

Summary: Camera comes with an external mic jack, which is a PRO! The Con is.. YOU NEED TO USE IT if you want audio that doesn't have clicking in it. The only 'fix' is to switch to manual focus mode, but the lack of an external focus ring makes this option a very unlikely one for the typical consumer.

This is a 'cheaper' camera when considering that it offers manual controls over focus, exposure, audio levels, and also freatures and external mic. So if the clicking in the audio isn't a big deal for you, you will enjoy this camera.

Also worth noting, this camera doesn't have a 'hotshoe' mount so you will need an L bracket or something of you plan to use this camera with an external boom mic.
