Pros: nice features, easy to use, solid construction

Cons: there is a spinning sound on all the videos I shot, maybe the internal hardrive recording It drowned out simple conversations,was not suitable for my needs so I returned it to Costco, where their website also had user reviews saying the same thing.

Summary: forget it if you were recording quiet backgrounds or wanted to hear what folks were saying. I bought it to record my 94 year old mothers stories and that became a nightmare with this recorder. Canon you can do better!
