"The leading edge for consumer camcorders"
5.0 starson by peter9291Pros: Great user interface actually makes it possible to use all of the features. Other pros: image stabilization, flexibility, picture quality, connectivity.
Cons: Microphone is nothing special - the usual for small camcorders. Horrible if there is any wind.
Summary: The best-designed user interface that I have seen -- the touch screen really works. It stands up to the job of making it possible to actually use the the huge number of features this camera has. Amazing image stabilization - I Ishot some footage from a moving truck and you could see the flaws in the windshield bouncing up and down while the exterior scene was absolutely stable.. Very smart battery life indicator -- you'll have only yourself to blame if you get caught out. 64gb internal storage and a standard USB interface - no more messing about with "capture" software. And of course, the usual Canon picture quality - the best.. Also serves as a good quality still camera at 8mp. It does have an accessory shoe and connection for optional mikes, which I have not tried. You will be lucky if you can get hold of one of these cameras - the supply seems to be patchy.
