I would definitely recommend this camcorder coz of it's quality & its edge over the competitors who offer the same features & HD quality for over $1200.

Cons The video playback is choppy and irratic on my two computers with AMD Duran and Sempron processors. Check out the minimum requirements for the imageMixer 3 SE software.
Summary I have no other issues with this product than the computer playback. If you get this camera you should also get the DVD burner that plugs in to the USB and have a HD TV to plug the camera into.

on by OMGPacifistPros Just got this camcorder on the 23rd of october: It's easy to use, lightweight, quality is amazing, connecting it to your pc is rather easy as well. Many different settings that are easy to access and become familiar with. Amazing Camcorder.
Cons Canon has notoriously low battery life on there products. You can purchase larger batteries but they can be a little pricey. Quality can become grainy in low light areas. Other than that I am completely satisfied with this product.
Summary Bottom line: Amazing camcorder. If you want a future in filming, movie producing, editing, motion graphics etc, than buy this camcorder. You will not be disappointed. With 120GB of internal memory you can film for ages. You can film for 11 hours and 6 minutes on the highest setting ( MXP 24mbps ) and 46 hours on the lowest setting. Enough said..

on by dudebucketPros After all my research for finding the right camera I stumbled upon the Canon Vixia line of camcorders. I did a TON of research and found this to be the best. It's HD is incredible!
Cons Battery life sucks. eBay has them pretty darn cheap.
Summary No complaints except battery. You can add a lot of addon's if your that type too
