"So shocked" on
Pros: Camera has such great selling features. It sounded like an answer to everything I needed for my accompolishments
Cons: Canon, I am so disappointed in you. With lots of grandchildren I looked forward to being able to create actual photos from my video recordings. Much to my shock was the fact that the only time this camera works is if I use it outdoors in V-E-R-Y sunny

"A Total Waste of Money" on by nanocare
Pros: Compact and light
Cons: Will not record images
Summary: We have only used this camera for approx. 20 hours over the last 1 1/2 years. Went on vacation and while trying to record, there was no image on the screen. Yes, the lens cover was off!! It sounds like we have the same problem that other Canon owners have had. Do not buy this camera!! Canon should recall this model of camera and fix all the known problems. Good Bye Canon! Hello Sony or JVC.

"Ease of use, seamless integration with Macintosh computers" on
Summary: After reading the negative comments about the camera inadequacy in low light conditions, I experimented and discovered that if you set the aperture and shutter on automatic your pictures will be grainy in low light conditions. However if you switch to Program AE and set the aperture/shutter for "Low light" or "Night" options, the pictures are much sharper and not grainy. Read the manual people!

"Do not recommend to buy this product." on by jskim777

Cons: video quality not so good in most home lighting condition.
Summary: I bought it less than 2 years ago and used about less than 10 hours of video but camcorder function not working. I had Sony D8 camcorder more than few year untill lost, worked fine. Do not buy this one.
