"THE ULTIMATE VIDEO CAMERA"
Pros: Bursting with features... this camera has everything you'll need and it's a Canon so you know you're getting quality.
Cons: For $300-$350, there are no cons
Summary: This camera is awesome! I had originally purchased the ZR600 model (which I loved) but decided to invest all of the $30 to upgrade to the ZR700, considering it included not only a nightlight but a battery that is DOUBLE the strength of the ZR600, which makes a HUGE difference! Plus, you get the LCD widescreen that gives you the option to record in either widescreen or fullscreen. But what gives this camera the edge over its competitors is that beyond the fact that its compact enough to fit into my front jeans pocket, Canon focused all of their time and money creating a camera that is versatile, with options and features that I'm still discovering through every day use. While sony invests millions on their touchscreen LCD screen that actually turns out to be more of a nuisance than anything, canon decided to hold onto that money and actually use it for more important features. And considering sony is this cameras only "true" competition, for the quality, features, and price, the CANON ZR700 is the only logical choice for a video camera of its class in the market today.
