"One great minidv camera!" on by cossatot

Pros: Great video, great 48x advanced zoom, looks great, ease of use, Vista ready

    Cons: None found.

Summary: This is one of the best deals on the market currently. Great video resolution and the ability to take photo's as well. The ability to zoom in on objects from far off and lots of extra's that most camera's do not offer. 1+ megapixel as well. Good luck finding a better camera with all these features at this price.

"Excellent for day use" on by pathfinder0110

    Pros: excellent zoooom!

    Cons: night shots are grainy

Summary: Before I bought this camera, I didn't find any reviews for it but still went forth 'cuz of its great price. It has excellent zoom and gives vivid colours in daytime shooting (video) but has a lot desired in night time shooting. Shooting in flourescent lamp conditions gives a grainy picture. Seems like capturing video from cellphone camera but with a little higher clarity.

The other main feature is the ability to capture still images. My cellphone is faster in capturing the image than this video camera. It takes almost a second from depressing the button to capturing the image. But, I have taken pictures from moving car and if the hand is steady, the picture will be clear (unshaken; however the object to capture was missed).

Regarding the controls, everything is nicely placed. The joystick takes away lot of buttons and makes system easier to use.

Oh I missed the zoom. This cam has amazing zoom. Ofcourse the video will be shaky if the camera is held in hand and zoomed at a distant object but I was able to read distant billboards while holding the camera in hand. Those billboards couldn't be read with naked eyes.

"Affordable Camera for Mac OS X" on by rpinol

Pros: The camcorder is simple and easy-to-use. Via a Firewire (4 to 6 pin) you can plug it into your Mac and use it as a web cam. (Although the microphone on the camera is not enabled.) It's light & compact. The one plus is the use of SDHC memory cards.

Cons: It's a bit bulkier than some of the high-end mini camcorders. No touchscreen. Not as advanced, but does the job.

Summary: I ordered this camera primarily because I am a Mac OS X user. I wanted something 100% compatible with my Mac and its software. The cool thing is that you can use this easily as a web cam via the firewire cable. Image quality is good and serves its purpose well.

"Great Camera, Upgraded from a Canon ZR60. Much Improvement" on by dbono90

Pros: Large Zoom, Large LCD Screen, View Finder for Daytime, Intuitive Design, USB, FireWire400 for mac use, top tape hatch instead of bottom.

Cons: No Microphone Input, Static Viewfinder, Sound Quality OK

Summary: I like it bit it is missing a very large feature: Microphone Input. Other than that, it is great.

    Thanks
