"Best HD solution for action sports at 200 bones"
5.0 starson by jimstringfellowPros: where do I start?
Simplicity. Ease of use will have grandma wanting to use this.
Durable construction. There's a reason why Contour cameras have the same proven form factor.
Mounting options. proven Tee rail is the camera's legacy but the addition of thCons: Lack of floatation. being waterproof doesn't require a housing now. this will affect it "floatability"
plastic lens. not much experience with this one yet, but I'd be concerned with scratching from using it around sand or dirt.Summary: For the price, you can't touch this camera for what it can do. It's streamline shape looks appealing on the side of your helmet. Want to look like a teletubbie or like you know what you're doing? Contour scores points in my book for making an affordable HD cam that I'm not afraid to get wet. I use this camera exclusively for kiteboarding. It's design is perfect for capturing the experience on the water.
edit to original review... in regards to "Pros" I listed mounting options however my review was truncated. I want to add that integrating the threaded tripod hole into the body of the camera opens up many possibilities for mounting the camera.
