Pros Pocketable, portable.
Cons Poor quality control - sensor defects. Newer models that use lithium-ion batteries have poor performance in colder temperatures outdoors.
Summary I've owned three of these devices since they came out. All three had defects - most commonly odd shadows (spots) on the videos which I was told were a result of dirty sensors in the units. Sent a new one back to Flip as a result, and they sent me a "refurbished" model to replace it - it had the same problem. Quality control should be better at this price point. Sorry Flip - you flopped in my house.

Pros Small enough to carry in your purse. Good film quality. Has a back up battery option.
Cons I wish the screen was a little bit bigger.
The side USB port is a little tricky. I have to prop my lap top up to charge it up, i can't tell the status of the charge with out turning everything upside down.
Summary I would recommend the product. I have no major issues with the product. It is a fun convient gadget.
Pros Very potable, easy to use and very simple to create a CD or DVD with the software which comes installed.
Cons I own three and do not see any real cons.
Summary Great technology which I have been using for the past year in my presentation skills coaching. I encourage all my students to get one. I tell them there is not excuse now to say I do not have the ability to record your presentations. This camera fit into your pocket or pocketbook and is so easy to use. Only one button to push.
