"Also Check Out New Creative Vado HD version Because..."
Pros: Two nice units, BUT the Creative Vado HD version has 8 MB of memory for 2 hours of HD recording. Has HDMI output and includes the HDMI cable for superior TV quality. Has a 2 inch LCD. Has a user changable Lithium Ion batter. PC and MAC compatible.
Cons: Available Decmeber 9th 2008
Summary: Two excellent choices, but the Creative Vado HD outdoes the Flip Mino HD in a number of important areas.

The Creative Vado HD is NOT fully Mac compatible. You may download a plug-in for QuickTime that allows you to view the .avi files produced by the Vado, but the only way to get iMovie to accept the files is to convert them from .avi to some other compatible format. I used MP4. The compute time required to do this on my 2.33 GHz iMac was something like 4-5X the length of the clip (to maintain the 720p quality), an expensive price to pay for a pleasing image. The process was so onerous I bought a Mino HD to replace my Vado.

I bought a Vado and it was horrible. Went out and bought a Mino it rocked. I'm gonna stick with the Mino HD.
