Manufacturer description
The G-Shot DV601 camera with a 3.2 mega pixel sensor can take DVD-Quality MPEG-4 movies. By using MPEG-4 technology, you can take more videos with less memory. Super compact, lightweight with a superior black outlook, G-Shot DV601 is the answer for people who are still sentimental with some of the basic things in life. It has superior multi-functions and it works reliably with just two easily replaceable AA size alkaline batteries. The built in 64 MB memory allows you to take a sufficient amount of pictures and movies without a memory card. But the memory card slot lets you increase the storage capacity up to 2GB.User opinions

Exceeds low expectations
Pros: Extremely Portable, Cheap. "YouTube" quality video. Decent Package.
Cons: Many worthless features. Vista Support.
Review: With such a product, you expect mediocrity. The G-Shot DV601 delivers in some regards, the stills truly are worthless, the e-book function is lame, the digital zoom looks horrible and doesn't work while recording.
More positively, the video is "good enough" for the internet, the sound (recording) quality impresses me (there is little noise and wind doesn't seem to be a problem). The mp3 function is also decent although I question why you wouldn't just use an mp3 player.
If you want an extremely cheap and portable video camera which you will be willing to take into harms way then the DV601 delivers. If you want any of the OTHER functions, then *chuckle*, you get what you pay for.
