"Excellent HD Camcorder with Amazing Video"
Pros: AMAZING Video Quality; Three (3) 1/5 inch CCDs; Hard Drive (My DV tapes on my old camcorder are deteriorating); Easy transfer of videos to PC; Price; Also still images are nice!
Cons: JVC has its own format so you must use the software that comes with it or buy software that is compatible. Low light is ok, but all camcorders are "ok" in low light.
Summary: You cannot go wrong with this purchase. If you want a 3 chip 1/5 inch CCD camcorder that records 5 hours of high quality (high definition) video below $600 (MSRP is $1100!) without worrying about changing DV tapes or worry about DV tapes deteriorating then this is IT!
AMAZING Video Quality; Three (3) 1/5 inch (which is better than 1/6 inch) CCDs (the more CCDS the clearer the quality); Hard Drive (My DV tapes on my old camcorder are deteriorating); Easy transfer of videos to PC (Just plug it in and drag and drop the files to your desktop; use it like a thumbdrive); HD5 destorys my old 3ccd Panasonic PVDV951 especially at 1/3 the price! Also still images are nice!
