"Very incompatible! Buyers Beware!" on by UmarAlFarooq

    Pros: 120 Gig HD

Cons: Doesn't work with ANY capture software and the one it comes with really sucks!

Summary: I bought this camera to replace the really crappy Panasonic camera I have which will only permit me to download my videos using their proprietary software. I upgraded my OS and the proprietary software company never made an upgrade so my camera is useless. I was hoping this very expensive camera would be more intuitive but it doesn't work with ANY of the software I have - Pinnacle, Movie Maker, Vegas Studio, etc. It comes with a Cyberlink software which REALLY sucks! The only way I can get any decent compression and quality is by attempting to do a YouTube upload which creates a wmv video. All other methods don't work!! You want Cyberlink to work? you'll have to purchase an upgrade and spend even MORE money. What an awful purchase! Now I'm trying desperately to return this entirely crap product.

"Nice HD camcorder, with some limitations" on by sunnybrook99

Pros: Decent batter life. Good quality video. I like the body of the camera better than the other ones I looked at.

Cons: It doesn't play well with my Mac. Getting the videos transfered using iMovie 08 is possible, but it is not an easy process. iMovie 09 may be better. The whole importing process from camera to computer is rather cumbersome and time consuming.

Summary: This camera works for me. I've had it for almost 2 years and so far I've enjoyed using it.

"Editing sucks, I hate the .TOD files, I want a Canon" on by Ferlon

    Pros: I like the look

Cons: I don't like focusing with the joystick, editing with the type of files they use is not the best.

Summary: After looking at this model compared to canon, I should have gotten a canon and that is what i am about to do when their new line comes out in march. I just don't like this camcorder.

"I'd make slight design modifications" on by Chi Blackburn

Pros: Flash and video light needed. 8 megapixel photo option. SD instead of micro card. A 35x optical zoom instead of 10x coupled with a 300x digital zoom option.

Cons: Micro SD instead of SD preferred, flash and video light needed. Full manual focus option needed. Camera with view finder needed instead of widescreen required for operation. Color matched, flush designed instead of protruding battery option.

Summary: Bottom line, excellent camera with limited marketability. Could be a truly satisfying investment with minor design modifications from manufacturer. Technological versatility with better implementation of existing technology recommended.

    "Awesome camcorder" on by daveh91

Pros: Great picture quality, Great features, Love the mic input, The OIS works really good, Huge hard drive. A++++

Cons: The thing I don't like about it is the wind noise, and the fact that when you close the LCD screen, The camcorder turns off.

Summary: I have had some people tell me that the low light mode has poor quality, But considering that there is no on board light the quality is pretty good. The HDD can store up to 10 hours of full HD recording and up to 24 hours in LP mode. I recommend this camcorder to anyone looking for a high quality video camera.
