"Dont waste your hard earned money on this."
Pros: Light weight and sleek look
Cons: Poor video quality and performance
Summary: I bought this camcorder from Circuit city when they offered me an exchange for my JVC mini DV Camcorder which was still covered in the perf.plan after 6 years. I was forced to buy a high end camcoder to make use of the store credit they gave me and ended up with this one. What to say.. the video quality is worse than a VHS tape. Couldn't imagine that JVC would produce such a poor quality product for the cost of around $900. I am going to exchange it with a GZ-MG70 or mini DV today.
I will not recommend this camcorder to any one who wants to take good video of your precious moments.

alot of people dont know what their talking about.if they just take time and read the manul they`ll see how to make the pic and video resalution better just read!!!!!!!!!

It is not clear if the review recommends a Mini DV over the Everio G series camera, or his comment is limited to the partular model GZ-MG 30 U only. (i.e, the video qualifty of the other models in the Everio series are better than the GZ MG 30U)
