Pros: It's small enough and light enough with a big drive. That is it.

Cons: No mic input. Only USB output. Stupid user interface, designed most likely by an ape. Aweful sound recording, Software is useless. I've tried for 2 days to try and burn a dvd, and i finally did it , but it wont play on a computer dvd player.

Summary: Save your money and never buy from JVC. Should mean Just Value Crap. I hate myself for ever buying this piece of junk. Now I have to try and return it and buy a different brand. Probably be a sony, again.

Weak review. The interface is one of the best features. The software is marginal, at best however. To the other reviewer who reported that the unit will not turn off when the screen is closed, sounds like you just got a bum unit. It's too bad when you get something that doesn't work, but I wouldn't judge the entire model line based on that.

This is a great camera for the money. Its not a high def professional camera but sometimes the price point makes the difference. My sister in law purchased this cam and it was wonderful for her because her husband is still a student and she could afford a camera with hard drive capacity and dolby sound for 250 on tigerdirect.com Great for the price!

I agree with the review, plus, the camera won't turn off when you close the led viewfinder. I have to eject the battery, the reinsert it to turn the camera off.

ok, well, you can play the video, but you need a video converter to convert the mpeg2 to avi or something. then you can play it.

You need to calm down. The camcorder is far from being built by an ape. Sounds like someone isn't very computer savvy. Very immature review.

Why so bitter? Don't blame the camera for fault of the software. Use a different software. And why would you buy a videocamera without checking out the specs on the box. That's like buying a car without checking it's gas economy. The blame lies with yourself...not the camera.
