Pros: - great video quality compared to Canon FS100
- 1MP still pictures
- duo storage capabilities
- cool laser touch operation at the monitor
- great nite videos
- can take upto 16GB microsd card
- come with a docker

Cons: - should have more choice of casing colors
- lack of tutorials provided in the box when purchased
- should use more popular video formats, rather than .MOD file format
- should have an autoflash instead of LED flash

Summary: This is my first camcorder and I am very pleased with the JVC Everio GZ MG435 because it is really easy to use, especially for beginners. The functions are all manageable at the scroll of my fingers. The picture quality is reasonable and good for SD standard of camcorders. The long recording hours is great for me to use it when I am travelling. The 32X zoom is perfect for outdoor shooting. The quality is great too when shooting at nite.

If you are a beginner like me, I truly recommend you to get this JVC GZ MG435.
