Cons EVERY VIDEO is an MOD file...huge, unconvertable, and time wasting. I'm ready to stick this camera under the back tire of my car and crush it! I will never have back the time I have wasted attempting to convert the files.
Summary Give it the ability to record in another file type that normal people can use... MPG or WMV.

Cons Small and allowed me to put in a 32 GB SDHC memory card. It would run for 10 hours if plugged in. Battery life was so-so.
Summary I would not recommend this camcorder. I am amazed that others have rated it better. From the get-go, I should have sent it back. Not only is it a lousy camcorder. The manual is vague and customer service the pits. I have a JVC HDTV that is wonderful. That is why I got the JVC camcorder. They are like night & day.
It is only a year old and I cannot afford to replace it. This was one thing I should have opted for an extended warranty! Though getting a new one would have just been another rotten camcorder. -
"Confusing but Overall pretty good camera."
on by Evan78Pros Stylsh, Light Weight, Laser Touch Operation Scroll, Lots of features, Memory/SD Card Saving, Microphone is on front instead by where a person recording would put there hands by, Snapshot mode.
Cons Battery Life drains even if in review which is really unrealiable, Youtube Uploader doesnt work, Often blurry when focusing on something, Battery sticks out on the end (ugly), less FPS when in dark.
Summary Get it if your a fan of JVC.

"So far so good!"
on by mikekoczanPros I broke my old camera, sad story. I bought this as a replacement. It is perfect for my fun-stuff type movies. It is editable with both my Windows Movie Maker and my Sony Vegas. I'm at the shallow end of my learning curve yet.
Cons Still photos are not very sharp though not unpleasant. Has light-plasticy feel.

".MOD video format?! Proprietary mistake"

Cons Huge misstep by JVC making this record in .MOD format. The beauty of flash storage is quick upload to PC. But with .MOD, you have to then convert to a usable format in order to do any editing. Time-sync hole.
Summary Buy another camera. Hopefully JVC learns from this mistake.
