"Totally fun for our whole family!"

Pros

Lightweight, not cheap but not expensive, SD card!, easy access to our computer to add pictures and movie clips to our files.

Cons

Not a very long battery life. No flash.

We received this camera as a gift about two months ago and genuinely enjoy it. It's easy to take along in the car or on walks, to the beach, anywhere. It's hard to explain just how lightweight it is, because it really is light. All three colors are really neat so it's hard to decide which one to go with. The screen is fun to manipulate as it's a touch screen with a blue light feature and at first took getting used to, like any new product. It's much easier to switch from camera mode to film mode than any other camera that we've had. We have made two movies on our Everio and taken many photos. I think the only thing we truly dislike about this camera is there is not a flash! And again, the short battery life. We charge it daily.

"Awful camera!!"

Pros

Haven't found one. It's light, so you can carry back to the store without straining???

Cons

The picture quality. The audio quality. The battery life. The memory capacity. No light (flash).

This camera is priced this way for a reason, it's no good. I'm glad that the other reviewers have enjoyed their cameras, but I was very disappointed in it. The video is very grainy and lags terribly. The still camera isn't any better. Save your hard earned money and buy something nicer. JVC has underwhelmed me in the past, so I shouldn't be surprised.

"Great little camcorder. Especially the price."

Pros

Lightweight, easy operation, fairly good video quality. Price.

Cons

Scroll bar a little hard to use, and software is a waste of time installing. Battery life.

As mentioned. This is a great little camera for the money. $249.00 at video only, and they were out of stock so they threw in a free case! Sure it's a little shy on memory, but you can pick up an 8g memory card and double the memory for about $25.00. Also highly recommend purchase of the optional high end battery - about $75.00. Has plenty of features, takes great video and still shots. I found 1 other review on this camera and they said this camera was hard to use with one hand. Honestly, I though so at first too until I learned how to strap it to my hand correctly. This is critical for one handed operation. The strap must be fairly tight for one handed operation, but once you get it right, you could walk around all day with this thing attatched to hand hand and not know its there, and be ready to shoot instantly. Sure you could spend more and get more, but if you broke like me, pick one of these up! BTW, use the software disc for target practice. Takes up 280 BG and is very difficult to use. I have used several DVD programs and they are all easier than this software.
