"Great camera for family videos"
Pros: Light, good stabilization, mini DV tapes are great, camera is dependable haven't had any hiccups in the operation of the camera.
Cons: This camera is consumer camera not professional quality, but for home videos works great. No cons.

Pros: ease of use, enough bells and whistles to make professional looking videos with great video quality. zoom is awesome
Cons: a remote would be nice and jvc needs to add download software
