Pros: ummm.... zoom, mini dv
Cons: every time you use zoom, it makes a loud noise on the recording.... films HORRIBE in low light that it amazes me. no video light, breaks often, screws fall out.
Summary: well, i had mine for a while now and its broken now. i think the ccd broke or something cuz it just shows black.
anyways, while it worked...
the zoom made a loud noise and you could hear it on the videos which got quite annoying
screws kep falling out on the bottom and its making it very flimsy.

also, i forgot to add....
while i was in Flordia, it kept getting messed up, like it got moisture inside, and i couldnt record for a long time
while it had the moisture, it completely ruined one of my tapes, which can never be replaced. -

Pros: nothing really outstanding
Cons: motor hum makes this camera usless without external mic, poor video quaility, grainy lcd, no image stabilization, just don't buy it..

Summary: So far so good. I have used this for 2 years and it has worked perfect. I went into buying knowing the drwbacks so I wasn't disappointed. I was told you could use it as a converter to send VHS tapes to your computer but haven't figured it out yet.

Cons: Died at 3 years old
Summary: My frist camcorder.3 years old to date, last month.
Pros:
1.Great zoom, had about 200 hours of caption
For a first camcorder this is great.
Had tons of fun using this camcorder
2.User friendly
3.Use this camera to capture 8mm flim and
transfer a bunch of it onto DVD. Great slow shutters.
Cons :
1. Picture quality : grainy
2. Captures all sounds
3. Weight : Semi heavy
Just right at 3 years old, it dies.
The most comman complaint " Condensation Pause" JVC does not know how to fix this problem. Believe me, after reading tons of service complaints. I decided to ditch JVC.
The technology is not on par with some other brandnames.
My suggestion : Don't buy this unless you are willing to ditch it after 2 years -
"THE VIDEO CAMERA CAPTURE JUST DIED" on
Pros: It worked great with all the features I needed to take normal everyday family video, until it died; see below.
Cons: After one year of working fine, although the reviews are correct about bad in low light situations, the video camera part just became totally scrambled and unviewable. Everything else is just fine, but now it's just a line in/out mini dv deck.
