Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera (Aqua)

Pros: I love the video quality. For the price, it's amazing! The camera includes both composite & HDMI cables which is a great value. More features than Flip, you can upgrade the memory, film in 1080, 720, or VGA AND you can snap photos!

Cons: Firmware upgrade 1.03 to 1.05 right away. W/o upgrade image is shaky, mic stinks, & won't support 32MB SD. On Mac upgrade is tedious. Tech support is LOUSY. Once you get it upgraded, included software still won't work with Mac. iMovie workarounds.

Summary: GREAT image quality after upgrading the firmware. Amazing features for the price. Better video quality than the Flip. Good sound after firmware upgrade. Expand memory via SD all the way up to 32MB. Works with Wifi SD cards. Comes with both composite and HDMI cables. Plugs straight into TV/Projector. Let's you film in 1080p, 720p @ 30 OR 60 frames per second, or VGA to save space. Allows you to take photos from the camera and not just by "screen capture" via software as in the case of the Flip. Software on PC is great but doesn't work with Macs.
I love this camera! Can't beat it for the price!
