"The debate is finally over!"4.5 starson by dej3000
Pros: Excellent camera for the price.
Cons: Accessories can be pricey.
Summary: The debate is finally over! I have owned the Canon GL1 and XL1 for different venues. For example, independent film, music videos and for weddings. By far the Panasonic AG-DVC30 leads the pack. Keep in mind, all cameras are great, and have their main function. However, the DVC30 can handle all duties. It is very small and compact, excellent in filming documentation, music videos and weddings. This camera is soo light, that even with numerous of hours recording, my hand didn't become numb. I was able to establish cool shots because of using the handle oppose of using a steady cam. For more experience filmmakers the XL1 is great, but not as easy to manuever as the DVC30. Give me a couple of months and I do plan on owning the Panasonic DVX100. With the two it will be awesome for my business.
