"GOOD CAMCORDER IF YOU WANT TO UPGRADE"
Pros: NICE 26X OPTICAL ZOOM AND 1000X DIGITAL ZOOM, NICE ERGONOMIC DESIGN
Cons: WEAK BATTERY, SMALL BUTTONS
Summary: i upgraded to the Panasonic PV-GS31 after having used an old Video8 camcorder over the years. Chose the unit for ergonomic design, battery has an adaptor for charging so you can charge the battery while not connected to the camcorder. Good zooming capabilities as long as you use Manual mode and adjust settings accordingly. Weak video light though. Weak battery too but you can purchase more powerful batteries. Battery seems loose. Has quick start function which never allows you to miss the spur of the moment recording opportunities. Colored viewfinder helpful when recording with the LCD closed. SD card slot for photo taking and storage. Overall good value. I recommend it for those who want to upgrade from Video8 and other older formats.
