"90 day warranty not enough"

Cons: poor: instruction manual. poor: customer service
Summary: When I purchase the camera, I knew some others had the same cons as I have now experenced. The 90 day warranty is not long enough .. heck it takes at least that long to figure out the instructions. I was able to get about 30 min. of film without problems ... then!!! ... the transport mechanism started making a clicking noise.
While the parts are warranty for 1 yr, whoever the third party Panasonic has setup
to do their warranty work charges &160. just to look at it. Their comeback on the high price is they pay the return shipping charges !!!!
I really thought Panasonic was better than that.

I had used the camera for about 45 days when the lcd cracked, what a phone maze to get help. Have to pay for shipping and they charge you 25o dolars to repair. Bad customer service. I have purchase panasonic camcorder all my life but I do not think theyre product and service is worthed the money.

I purchased a pv gs 250 last november 27. It is Dec. 13 and I can't get Panasonic to tell me why the panasonic camera software won't recognize the camera. If you call their 800 number you may have to wait over 30 minutes for a tech... They don't seem to answer their emails either. Beware of Panasonic service.
