  • "Unreliable DVD recordings!"

    Pros: Great optical zoom, intuitive controls and operation, good battery life, good a/v connections and cables.

    Cons: I've filled 20 mini-DVDs with precious home video - EVERY SINGLE DVD has issues playing back, and the files can't be copied to a computer without using special DVD file recovery software. The recording mechanism in the camera is very unreliable!!!

    Summary: Too unreliable to trust for important footage, so why bother? Mine is for sale cheap, and I'll be looking at a hard-drive based recorder next.
