  • "Very good for the money!"
    on by jaxbarney

    Pros Easy operation

Cons Found none as of yet.

Summary Menu search uses stick which is so much better than the screen menu on the Sony.
Being into Sony for 20 years I was not about to change until I found something that I considered somewhat better and easier. The zoom is great-smooth 32X. I bought this and used it for two days before giving it to my wife for her birthday. I refuse to give anything that is more complicated than necessary. I tryed the sound on several models and this sound was very good.

    Pros cheap, That's about it.

Cons poor pic quality, no CD rom, editing nearly impossible

Summary Spend a little more and get one with editing software. At the very least, buy one that will hook-up to your computer! Spend a little more and be able to take quality still shots. We bought this cheap thing and now we have to carry a camera as well as the camcorder because it takes such crappy still shots. There's no SD Memory card...I could go on and on. Spend more on a better camcorder and you'll save on headache meds.

  • "Much better choices besides this one."
    on by Cowchip500

Pros The cam is fairly easy to use. Nothing fancy, which is good for low-tech people.

Cons It's nearly impossible to get video onto a computer for editing/watching. I've tried a ton of freeware and after a year to trying, no luck. I'm ready to sell it and get something more user-friendly. Tried Panasonic tech support, no reply to date.

Summary If you only want to watch video through your DVD player or on the Camera, it's self, this is your cam. Of course, you'll have a million Mini DVs in no time.

  • "Never again will I buy PANASONIC"
    on by jmehney

Pros I worked Ok for the 4 months that it worked. Good picture.

Cons Only worked four months! Short low battery warning, strap was too low for hand.

Summary Camera wouldn't power up with battery or being plugged in directly to the outlet. Panasonic said I had to pay $111 to get it fixed, I only paid $198 for it. I don't have $111 more to waste on this. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this product and will never, ever buy from Panasonic again.
