"Poor Image Quality"
on by PhotoMasterGregPros Convenient size.
Smooth Optical Zoom.
Nice Viewing ScreenCons Poor Image Quality
Best Features not Available when using memory card.
Max memory card size is 2Gig.
Flukey focus.Summary The size of this camera is convenient and the screen is great. I could hold it up over my head, with the display angled down and could see beautifully. Because of it's light weight, holding it for a while would not be a problem, although I would suggest using a tripod. The optical zoom is powerful, smooth and convenient. But the auto-focus was kind of flukey. I was very disappointed with the image quality. The image quality was poor at best. I thought the poor image quality was due to low light, but even outside on a sunny day the image was tiled and the focus was less than ideal. I have always loved Samsung devices, but this video camera was a disappointment. I am hoping that I just got a dud.

"DVD-R's don't work , and customer service doesn't care"
on by diane270Pros easy to use
Cons Manual says DVD-Rs will work and after 2 discs completely lost, and 2 that don't finalize so are rendered unusable. Samsung refuses to remedy, and said that DVD-R's usually dont work, even though their manual says they do.
Summary Samsung refuses to remedy the problem I've had, and said that DVD-R's usually dont work, even though their manual says they do. This complany doesn't stand by its product.

"Like the camcorder--hate the camera"
on by lesleejPros The video function is OK, and easy to operate.
Cons This digital camera takes the worst quality pictures of any camera I've owned. I re-set the thing back to factory specs, thinking maybe I'd chosen the wrong settings. It's frustrating to spend more time adjusting a camera than taking pictures.

"Great hybrid camcorder! Great value for the price!"
on by dastinsonPros Stores DVD resolution to either DVD+/-R and RW media, as well as SD. Battery lasts longer recording at same resolution to SD Flash (2GB 70% larger storage than the 8cm Single layer DVD media - camcorder can also use DL DVD). Built-in lens cap.
Cons No remote on this model. Stock batteries harder to get although OEMs are common.
Summary For the price point its definitely one of the better camcorders, especially with the flexibility of media.
