on by firefighter2008Pros The product is small and compact and has to methods of recording and easy to pull out at family events. Great sound quailty and easy use with any computer to print or make DVDs.
Cons The battery life tends to be to short, but the camcorder does the job it needs to. There is no light for night shooting and sometimes can go blurry, but again a great gift for a great price.
Summary Overrall the product is the right tool for the right job.

on by excalisPros Great options for the money, you get two great media types to save files on, ease of use is excellent, and small and easy to carry.
Cons No software for dvd editing, etc very basic package. Video quality is decent dont expect HD quality (remember the cost), No light source for night shooting, etc
Summary I was about to purchase a MiniDV unit that would have cost the same amount as this unit total. I was glad I purchased this since I can use Mini-DVDs, and SD/MMC cards. It is nice to be able to use the flash card as they are now cheap and you get better quality video using it as well. I did not want to spend over 300 Dollars for a camcorder so I feel got alot for the money I spent. The minuses are really not that bad and I can live with them compared to spending more money.
I have only had the unit a day or so and was worried because Samsung supposedly is just a minor player in the camcorder business, but I took a chance and I feel good about my purchase, now I just need to find an extra battery or one that has exteneded capability. About the battery life, its not to bad, I was editing, reviewing, etc with it and I feel for the size of the battery and for what I was doing it lasted long enough. This really is a nice camcorder and you get some of the cool stuff of the more expensive cams.
