Flukey focus.Summary: The size of this camera is convenient and the screen is great. I could hold it up over my head, with the display angled down and could see beautifully. Because of it's light weight, holding it for a while would not be a problem, although I would suggest using a tripod. The optical zoom is powerful, smooth and convenient. But the auto-focus was kind of flukey. I was very disappointed with the image quality. The image quality was poor at best. I thought the poor image quality was due to low light, but even outside on a sunny day the image was tiled and the focus was less than ideal. I have always loved Samsung devices, but this video camera was a disappointment. I am hoping that I just got a dud.

You're not alone--I'm also very disappointed in this camcorder. The video function is acceptable, but my photo image quality is terrible. I can't seem to adjust this camera so that it'll take a good picture. Even resetting it to factory specs doesn't work. Red photographs as vibrant green; white areas are bright yellow. PhotoMasterGreg, if you have any hints on how to adjust this camera, I'd love to hear them!
