"Very Very good camcorder ......but"
Pros: Perhaps, actually It's the top amateur compact camcorder
Cons: Miss EXT. AUDIO connection
Summary: How is possible that this new generation of very good top level camcorders don't have the "EXTERNAL MIC. IN" connection?!!
For an advanced use of these items users need, absolutely, a wireless ext. mic..
Otherwise they can use it just for record the son's birthday party!

There is a picture of the input for an external mic. I haven't been able to get my hands on this camcorder yet, but as soon as I do I will give everyone a valid review. -
Actually the HMX20C does have an external microphone jack. If you read the camcorders's manual which can be found on the Samsung site, you find the following:
"Connect an external microphone (not supplied) to the external microphone jack of this HD camcorder for clearer audio recordings...This HD camcorder cannot use a plug-in power type microphone
(power supplied from camcorder)."
What it doesn't have is a camcorder shoe which allows you to conveniently clip an external microphone to the top of the camcorder.
