A class action lawsuit was won against Samsung for diffective CCD Elements. your repairs will be reimbursed from Samsung or a similar model will be given to you if you want to upgrade free of charge. or if you have yet to repair the camcorder samsung will pay the priority shipping and repair free. I had my camera sitting in my closet for 4 years. when I stumbled online upon the lawsuit with scd-23 included, I called samsung and they e-mailed me the shipping label. total repair turn time was about 5 days.
