Pros: The camera comes in and out of sleep very fast. The zoom operates at a reasonable speed too. It plays on the new Windows Media Player (.mp4 file format). Can operate in very very low light, although a flashlight is recommended

Cons: If used to view it while it is still in its .mp4 format, small lines appear on your screen. This doesnt happen on the included software, which is built into the camera. The zoom is too fast for the auto focus, so if you zoom in too fast the auto focus tak

Summary: To begin with, turning it on is really slow. You have to wait 10 seconds for it to turn on, then you have to manually open the lens shutter. Once it is on, it is still at the zoom you were at when you turned it off, so you may have to zoom out. Once you got it all started up, the image quality looks crappy. This could be because the auto focus is still catching up, or the screen itself is only 250k pixels. Then, for best using, you have to go into the menu and select HDIS, to enable image stabilization. Yes, you have to do this every time you turn it on. Then, when you start recording via the record button by the battery or on the screen, it instantly records, although the red light is delayed. When you shake the camera in anyway, it could blur because the FPS is only 15. Samsung will not give that out, for IDK why. From there on, you're good to go with nothing else. Like I said in the Cons, there are lines that appear whenever something in the recording moves. Depending on your player and screen size, the severity of these lines can very. When I edited and saved it to .wmv, it looked fine. Like I also said, it does good in low light, although the image quality is degraded. Lots of noise appears in both video and pictures even when youre about to take the picture, it shows none.
The camera has decent menu settings, with some interesting filters, lots of image taking options (though not as many as a decent point and shoot has). The picture taking button is nicely located next to the zoom button.
Also, although I havent used the Smart BGM yet, I am not expecting the camera to sell for that feature in itself, unless you do a newscast for justin.tv. This camera is great for youtube uploaders, like myself (www.youtube.com/skillzfilmz for a video review and camera footage)
