  • "Great camera/camcorder. Even my wife can use it!"
    on by dbecker78

Pros Light weight, great video and stills, and easy to use. I purchased this camera in order to film my family without having to pay a huge price. I researched camcorders for MONTHS and finally decided on this camera for it's bang for the buck.

Cons Low light video is not the greatest. But for the price, I shouldn't be complaining. Other than that, no complaints.

Summary If you want a decent camera/camcorder with a ton of features for a low price, look no further.

  • "Great camcorder for its price"
    on by angel6868

Pros Best features for its price class.

Good quality HD 720 P videos.

People with both hands can use it, no matter if they are right handed or left handed.

Cons Not for heavy duty usage.

Can't do fancy stuff, like some of the more expensive camcorders.

Summary Good camcorder for everyday recording and youtube, etc. publishing.

Some editing can be done with good software as well.

All in all, great price with quality. Nice job Sanyo!

  • "Great features+video quality 4 money battery life lacks"
    on by drizzt545

Pros The auto mode settings worked as well as any of the programmed settings in varied light conditions. sports mode made moving camera images look much less blurred. 16 gig memory holds lots of video. still images good but not as good as my canon elph

Cons the only true complaint is the battery life. I highly recommend buying multiple extras for a trip. More optical Zoom would be nice. no other complaints

Summary I work with electronics every day. I have used better video only cameras and better still cameras. This combo unit worked well, has very good video quality for the price. If you are expecting pro resolution spend more. If good video quality and ease of use in a small easy to use camera is what you want buy this product and a couple extra batteries, mine were $40 for 5 on ebay. The HD video is definetly better than the regular setting, but files are very big if you plan to email. I have been more than pleased with this camera since buying it, and highly recommend it for the price. If they made a waterproof version I would be even happier.

  • "Great Camera for Price but Terrible Battery life"
    on by arrakis-cnet

Pros 10 Megapixel Videos are awesome for such a lightweight device and the stabilization function is a must have.

Cons Battery life, battery life and battery life. Did I mention Battery life?

Summary I purchased this camera to use at an upcoming airshow and the image stabilization and shots are awesome. Although great shots this type of photography requires that you zoom in a lot so the image stabilizer while helping does not perform well enough for hand held use when maxing out the zoom. So I'd recommend bringing a tripod for shots where you will zoom in to catch action. The standard 800 MAh battery is worthless. You won't even be able to get 30 min of Video before the battery dies. I can't wait for an aftermarket battery with a LOT more capacity

  • "Not for left handed people"
    on by foonin

Pros 1. Good camera for the price
    2. Video quality is great
    3. Full feature menu

Cons 1. Not for left handed
    2. Battery life
    3. Pistol grip to wide

Summary I bought the camera at Radioshack for $179.00. It is a good camera for the price but I noticed that my wrist hurts during filming because of the pistol grip is very wide (I'm left handed). Don't get me wrong I like the camera it has a full feature menu that you can change the camera settings i.e.shutter speed, aperture if you want to take like action shots or macro. I will give you an update after I take more videos and pictures.
