Motor Noise. File types on PCs
Makes great videos and is easy to use. But difficult on PCs, since most editors don't handle the high-quality MPEG-4 files it makes. (It records fine in standard qual).
Motor noise bleeds onto recording. No external mic option.
h264 is great for apple user
a longer lag time noticed compared to previous model
more useful as an easy go anywhere camcorder than camera

ULead software provided did not work with h.264 mp4 files from camera, support requests unanswered
This is first camcorder for me so I have nothing to compare to. Video looks good with VLC or Quicktime. The Ulead software provided did not work with the h.264 mp4 files the camera recoreds in. Support requests to Ulead were unanswered. OEM software not allowed to call in.... No answers on Ulead forum.
