Cons: If you are, like me, wishing to edit movies extensively, then this is definitely not for you. The main problem is that it has no FireWire. This means that you must download the video, convert to Mpeg-2 to get the audio from the download, then use anothe

I'm frustrated with my Sony DCR-DVD401.
1)can't EDIT the .vob file
2)hard to convert the .vob file BUT IamTOO DVD Ripper helped to do it, but BEWARE, if you're using pinnacle studio to edit it, you need to UNLOCK the mpeg-2 plug-ins which is REALLY FRUSTRATING TO DO.
3)All process wasted 1 week of my time.
suggestion:
1)Sony save the dvd movie in mpeg format so that it's easier for US to EDIT our movie freely without going through HELL.
