"As easy to use as it as advertised - great quality video!"
Pros: Simple firewire transfer to DVD recorder; AV cables for TV viewing; quick review feature; automatic 'end of recording' tape search.
Cons: No light on camcorder, no external light jack.
Summary: I purchased this camcorder after lots of research, and I am VERY happy with my choice. Immediately after charging the battery for the first time I shot some video of my aquarium, my dog, and my roomate...I was impressed with the LCD viewfinder - large display area, excellent color. I then took some footage of my granddaughter (in the house) and was please with the night shot mode. The transfer of the video via firewire was fast and easy. I am looking forward to the holidays - lots of quality video memories!!! Another great feature is the 'tape search' function - after reviewing what you have recorded, or after putting a partially empty tape in the unit, it will search to find the end of recorded material so you don't accidentally record over anything you want to keep!
