"Picture quality is Good but computer support is poor" on by HoustonTurk

    Pros: Picture quality
    light weight
    hard drive space

Cons: Windows Vista recognizes the camcorder but you can not capture the video.
Included software is proprietary and only for picture use. Useless

Summary: If you want to make movies Roxio 10.2 and Windows Movie Maker will not capture video from this camera which defeats the purpose of having a camcorder. I had to save the files as data as is if the camcorder were a hard-drive.

"Generally Happy with purchase" on by zzbacap

    Pros: - decent video capture
    - good white balance
    - 60GB HDD
    - supports memory stick
    - face index (shows detected faces in a vid file)
    - night shot
    - dock
    - easy mode

    Cons: - somewhat expensive
    - grainy when in low light
    - provided battery is TERRIBLE (lasts ~90mins only?!)
    - as a first time buyer of a camcorder I wish there was a bundled video editor

Summary: Makes for a satisfactory SD video camera, definitely superb if you're just goint to use it for online vids (like me). Electronic stabilization works quite well, not superb but works definitely! Smooth zooming, i like that.

If you can save a little more, go for an HD. :( sadly.

"Worth to buy." on by firtvid20

Pros: It has high quality video (even on a HD TV), 60GB of hard drive space (about 14 hours on high quality) and night shot (for taking videos during night). Nice "Let's Enjoy Video" DVD. Still pictures a good.

Cons: The software that comes with it could be better.

Summary: A very good camcorder. I bought this in Sydney (after looking for the right one). It has very good quality, enough hard drive space and night shot. It's worth buying.

"Decent for the money." on by AdamZing

Pros: Plenty of HDD storage for recording movies.
    Lightweight
    Compact
Touch screen on the LCD panel responds very well

Cons: Battery life seems a little short at about 75 minutes. But I have only had it for a couple days so maybe it needs to cycle a few more times to work at 100%.
Low light recording is fair at best. But this is common with camcorders in this price range.

Summary: I would recommend this product for someone who wants a simple camcorder that's easy to use with oodles of storage.
