Pros: capability of playing back 8mm and Hi8 tapes which obviously no other camcorders can (except the discontinued TRV350)

Cons: The software really stinks. You can't get a clean unstylized transfer unless you use a third party software like premiere in capture mode or the capture software that comes with your dvd.

Pros: Good zoom, good picture quality, easy to use. cool touch screen memory stick definatly a plus. firewire works great with optional cable and card.(i suggest using this method if you plan on capturing dv to make dvd videos) nightshot works great. analog to
