"A good camera, but there are definitely better."3.0 starson by matthutzell
Pros: Very small, compact camera. Powers on by opening LCD. Powers on quick. Great quality in good light. Very good macro recording. Touch screen is a nice 'touch'. Looks very nice. Inexpensive.
Cons: Bad quality in low light; grainy, washed out, etc. Poor battery life. Only Sony Pro Duo sticks work with it. Still image quality is mediocre at best. Sony's software is weak, at best.
Summary: All in all, this camcorder is what you'd expect for what you pay. It has amazing quality... in the right light. It does have a bit of lens flare in super sunny situations, but it's no big deal. On the contrary, in low light, the quality suffers greatly. The camcorder is very small and compact, making it easy to move around, though it is still a tight fit in a pants pocket. The camera powers on very quickly by opening the LCD screen, which is good when things unexpectedly happen. The battery life is, at best, mediocre. If you keep the camera charged when you're uploading video to your computer, you should be fine. The touch screen is a nice bonus, though not necessarily needed. The camera takes macro video very well, and it's AF is decently fast and quiet. There is also a photo mode, but the quality is 'Ehh' at best. This is a nice camera to get someone who just wants to make videos for youtube or another similar website, but I wouldn't think twice about forking up the extra $$ for a Canon Vixia HF200 or something a little higher class.
