Summary Unbelievably crappy model. I owned a Sony TV, VCR, DVD player, none of them gave me as much trouble as this piece of ... garbage. After just a week of use, camera crapped out, had to pay $6 shipping to get it fixed. Got it back in a few weeks, fixed, supposedly a pcb was replaced. Great. Now, 4 month after we bought it, same problem is showing up again - no picture, or discolored, rainbow -colored recordings. Have to turn it off and on a few times to get it to work and have to pay $6 again for shipping to their repair shop...

Cons . I owned this camera for 4 days and just in few shootings noticed BIG focus problem moving from one object to another focus not adjusting well enough. Watching video you can notice blare when moving camera.No viewfinder .
Summary I had old dv sony camera and loved it. This days seems like they just degradating. Do not buy this product.

Cons Poor warranty. Poor support. After complaining about product and warranty, I was put on hold and was told I was being shifted to customer service. I hung up after waiting 45 minutes with no answer.
Summary After six months of use, the screen and videos taken with the camera were purplish and grainy. Taking back to Best Buy, we were told it had to go in for repair, estimating the labor charge of over $100. Calling Sony gave no satisfaction. I would have to pay labor plus paying own shipping and insurance.

Summary Autofocus topped working after five months. Contacted support and was given a repair number. Never received the prepaid shipping label from Sony. Paid $25 labor to fix, but when I got it back three weeks later there was no audio and the touch screen didn't work properly - they obviously didn't inspect the camera before shipping it back. Contacted customer support again and was told to send it back to the repair facility. Very frustrated. I already missed out recording my daughter's wedding and now I won't have the camera for the holidays. I'll contact Best Buy and see if they can connect me with the Sony rep. At the very least they should offer a refurb.
