Pros Projector Screen Rocks, Quick on and spool up of hard drive.
Cons Photo option works ok, the touch screen works ok at best, nothing compared to my smart phone response. The projector button is a little quirky, you start playing with the touch screen then hit the projector button, not a big hassle, just a hassle.
Summary A+ for sony. I have moved from vhs to 8mm and this is my first HD. The projector is worth the extra $. To be able to keep the kids quiet while the watch video of themselves is priceless. Did I say the The Projector keeps the kids quiet!! LOL, Seriously, the Bonus fun and projector even worked on a regular (brown) painted wall. Quick on option with the open of the screen door, no extra buttons to mess around with
Pros 5.1 surround sound recording, GPS, Steady zoom movement, Optical zoom, Awesome "highlight" feature, 7.1 megapixels, 1080p HD recording, great little speakers, Wide lens, looks sharp, Hardy (has been dropped and works fine),220gb hard drive, AI slot
Cons Projector isn't exceedingly bright but is detailed.
Hard Drive and GPS could be seen as superfluous.
Summary Overall I think I made a fine investment and have used my camcorder a lot since I bought it back in August. This camcorder is one of the dearest pieces of equipment I own. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have.(Reply to Iwisnia) I have been pretty rough to it and have had no problems. Only glitch i've had in a video is on a roller coaster when the drop sensor was activated and stopped the recording (to keep from corrupting I assume). The sensor can be turned off if you want to film something that includes dropping. The weight doesn't seem so bad, but I went from having a larger camcorder to this so I'm a bit biased there. I got a cheap tripod too. The battery sizes change the feel a little though.
