Cons: no mic input, no mini HDMI cable provided
Summary: Overall excellent camcorder. Researched for a long time before deciding on Sony HDR CX500V. Main reason was low light. most of our shooting is indoor of kids. Took some video in tv room with only overhead lights on and looked brighter on TV than in real life. Very little grain if any. Menu structure simple enough. Camcorder is VERY small. Fits my 7 year old better than me. but I have found ways to hold it and operate that are fine. Picture on new plasma are incredible in high def. DOES NOT COME WITH HDMI CABLE, that was a disapointment. Actually comes with red, white and rellow rca cables and composite cables. Had to buy HDMI mini to HDMI full cable.
