"Great camera if used properly"
Pros: Far superior to standard DV, makes an incredible transfer from HDV to Dv on a dvd in 1hour mode that is way better than making it from my Vx2000 the same way, as far as low light -no its not as good as the vx2000 but then again it looks like 100asa film c
Cons: As simple as it may be the #1 thing I disslike about this camera is the fact that they did not put a overlap in the fader menu, it only fades from black or white as is the same with there proz1 model. I use this "alot" for in-camera editing and will miss-

I am currently a DJ doing weddings, etc, and want to expand into videography or parties, weddings, etc. I am pretty savvy already editing movies on IMAC using IMovie, and FinalCut.
Currently am unsure about which camera to go with, make the jump into HD with the HDR-HC1, HDR-FX1, or the DCR-VX2100? Is the VX-2100 going to be obsolete being it does not support HD or does it really not matter for this type of application? Other camera brands to consider?
I would really like to hear from as many qualifed people to give me the pros and cons as to what you believe gives the most flexibility in editing on the MAC after shooting on MiniDV in HD or SD mode.

Sony also has the HVR-A1U for $3500, which one you think will be a better choice? Or wait to save more money and get the Sony HVRZ1U 1080i HDV.
The truth is that I'm actually taking training to become an Final Cut Pro certified Pro, editing DV and HD; and the idea of getting into business filming weddings and related is growing in my mind. And being you a true professional in the field I would really appreciate your advice and also some tips about starting this enterprise.
Thanks for your help
