"JUNK. Destroyed 4 tapes after only 30 hours of usage"
Pros: none
Cons: Garbage, Canon will not stand behind it. I made total of 15 tapes, watched only 5. When I wanted to start watching the other 10, it would mangle the tapes while rewinding. This ruined four of my tapes which are irreplaceable. Called Canon, said will n

Pros: Great first camera it is very light and compact and it zooms in pretty far. Before i bought the camera i read some reviews i dont agree with the being to loud in quite areas because cant hear anything when i edit. All in All I LOVE THE CAMERA
Cons: The built in microphone doesn't record stuff far away but what does.
