Cons: Gets a little hot underneath the wrists after typing for a while, shouldn't have to shell out $249 for extended customer support.

"good all around as first time mac user"
Pros: quiet, easy to use, cool looking, good keyboard, upgradeable, good color display (for designers: the color on the screen looks like what is printed out on paper), not susceptible to all the pop-up problems like the PCs
Cons: no right click (it just boggles my mind that if u plug in a mouse with a right click, all the software is there for it, but the touchpad just doesn't have it), can be slow when running more memory intensive programs like photoshop/indesign/illustrato r, c
