"A sports photographers dream camera!"
Pros: Light, very easy to understand controls, ergonomically balanced
Cons: Needs a spare LI battery and larger XD memory.
Summary: This little gem is a bargain at less than $300. It's capable of 10X optical zoom (GREAT for sports photography), and with its digital enhancement, brings you to 40X!
The clarity, balance, and ease of use make this one of the top cameras for beginner, intermediate, and high-end amateurs.
Must have extras:
Spare L-Ion battery
256MB XD Card (128MB is also acceptable)
Lens converter with a good UV lens (for protecting the camera's optics).
Screen protectors to keep your fingerprints off the viewfinder.
A good camera case is needed to fit all the extras.
I've been looking for over 2 years for the perfect fit (I shoot a lot of sports photos), and I was tired of lugging around my 40-300mm, 400mm and 600mm lenses with my SLR.
I don't believe any camera is worth a 10, but this one comes in with a close 9, if it had RAW ability, it would top out at 9.8
